Athletes In Motion is a 2300 square foot facility, with nearly half that solely dedicated to youth fitness and sports training.  We use no fixed machines.

What’s that?


That’s right – we don’t use fixed machines.  Fixed machines might be fine for training adults.  But when it comes to the special needs of youth athletes, movement-based training is what works.  We train kids like kids – not little adults!


Our focus is on elite sports and fitness – and we use a combination of plyometrics training, medicine balls, free weights and kettlebells to develop a stronger, faster, more explosive athlete.

Over 30% of United States Children Considered Clinically Overweight

Local Statistics Show the Need for Dramatic and Immediate Solutions


March 18, 2008 – According to the American Obesity Association, more than 30% of United States children, youths and adolescents are currently overweight or obese.

Over the past three decades, the rate of childhood obesity has doubled while the incident of obesity in teenagers has tripled.

It is estimated that more than 9 million children under the age of 18, or 1 in 5 United States kids, are currently overweight.

The America Obesity Association also reports that the childhood overweight concern is the most common nutritional disorder effecting U.S.-based children and adolescents and one of the most prevalent problems seen by pediatricians.

Let's face it, these are staggering statistics, but the REAL problem isn't obesity... it's Inactivity! The combination of having Physical Education programs being cut dramatically throughout the education systems, plus the ever-increasing use of computers and video games has been a bad equation for our youth.  We need to get our youth moving again!
